What do I need to do to have a document notarized? Some documents may require witnesses in addition to the notarization. In most cases, the notary cannot act as a witness.
Bring a valid (non-expired), government issued photo ID with you when you visit for notary services.
Wait to sign the original document in front of the Notary. (No pre-signed documents will be accepted).
